I've found a bunch of old friends I've had fun reconnecting recently. I acquired a device to transfer cassette tapes and LP albums to the computer. The old friends are the old tapes and records I've not heard for YEARS. How fun to hear the jokes, the tunes , the talks again. Even on the cassette tapes with the warped tape from overplay years ago, it's been reminisce. Ahh bring back nostalgia, but maybe not all of it, at least not all at once.

Thursday morning musing. Some hand soaps have moisturizers in them. But then, after you use the soap aren't you to dry your hands? If you dry you hands, is the moisturizer gone, and if so why did you use it in the first place. If it's not gone, why do we need to dry the hands?

When one receives a new t-shirt (don't think t-shirts), it is often 10 minutes or so before one can wear it, making sure all the straight pins are out. Yes the shirts look good, but what service do the pins do, other that to poke the wearer who missed that one pin? I figure it must be job security for someone. Eliminate them and there goes several jobs of the person putting the pins in and several jobs of those manufacturing the pins.
Along similar lines, I do like the tape size markings on men's clothes, except sometimes (sweaters for example) it leaves a mark on removal of the tape. But I don't understand the multiple paper/carboard patches, which all have to be cut off from pockets, etc. Again it's probably someone's job security.

An open letter to the Mayans and those equally worried about the end. At this time, I'm still here (10:20 a.m.  Dec. 21, 12) and I don't see a lot of destruction. However, in the event myself and thousands of others disappear from the earth, it's not anything to do with the Mayans, but everything to do with the return of Jesus Christ for him who are his own. If we Christians are still here, talk to one of us to learn how to put JEsus in your life. If we are not, read God's word and trust God anyway, but be prepared for really hard times until Christ puts all things in the right order for good.
